Save Money with Natural Hair: Amazon

Where do you guys go to get your natural hair products? I used to live at Sally’s; especially because they seem to always have some sort of sale going on. Like, I don’t know about you, but I freaking LOVE the words Bogo, Free, Clearance, and Sale.

I don’t know about anybody else out there, but I’m all about trying to find the best prices for my products. Being a college student and a practicing minimalist, every dollar counts, and I sometimes surprise myself with the amount of research I do before I finally decide to relinquish my debit card.

To help combat this, I’ve been trying to look into ways of saving money on my spending sprees or getting some passive income that I can use solely for my hair. I remembered back in the day when I used to take surveys for Google Play credit (fun fact: I’m addicted to otome games) and hoped that I’d be able to try to find something.

Oh boy, did I!

I started researching apps that I could use to get me some extra funds, and it seems that Amazon gift cards are pretty popular. I was more impressed when I started combining my gift cards and was able to start only paying shipping, or better yet, get what I needed completely free!

Not only that, but I like to use Amazon as a faster way to compare prices for products between different sellers. I’m already going to get it for a cheaper price if I have a gift card, and let’s be honest: Sally’s isn’t handing me any free gift cards any time soon…

Now, I’m very skeptical about a lot of sites and apps that claim to give money. For example, though I keep trying to get into it, I just can’t stay loyal to Swagbucks. I think it was when I tried to watch a video for points, and after they made me sit through 6 videos I was then awarded 2 SB. Yeah, no. I wanted something faster, or at least with more potential. Maybe it’s me and I just don’t know how to use their site, and if that’s the case, then someone please educate me in the comments below.

After finding and downloading a few apps I liked, I tried to stick to them at least once a day (not for very long either, or sometimes while I’m just watching TV) and I’ve probably made collectively $200 in about a year. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but in Amazon gift cards as I need them, that’s pretty good! And for those that are wondering, I didn’t get a physical card sent to me. Instead I got a code. And what I love about Amazon is that you can add the code to your account to be automatically added to your next order. So what I do it redeem the card once I have enough points, add the redemption code to my Amazon account and let them build, and when I’m ready for more product, boom! It’s either an awesome discount or I get my purchase for free!

I swear I’ll never shop for my hair the same again!

My favorite app so far would have to be Giftloop, and to get my code and get free coins for using it, click here. I like this app because it’s fast, and I can even get points while just charging my phone! I have yet to see this in any other app!

Do any of you use apps and survey sites to get some extra cash? If so, please let me know! I’d love to try more of these apps!
